25+ YEARS OF ADMIN - ZERO PATIENCE FOR CHAOS

The person behind the coordinating

Hi, I’m Carrie – and I’ve spent the best part of 25 years making sure other people’s admin doesn’t eat them alive.

I work with neurodivergent solopreneurs and small business owners who are brilliant at what they do and absolutely done with the administrative noise that gets in the way of it. Not because I stumbled across a niche, but because this is genuinely where my skills, my background, and the way I naturally work all landed in the same place at once.

If you’ve ever found yourself explaining how your brain works before you can explain what you need – you won’t have to do that here

How I got here (the slightly longer version)

My admin career started in the education sector and took in the voluntary sector, medical industry, and a fair amount of everything in between. Along the way I studied counselling, qualified as a Mental Health First Aider, and picked up a Lean Six Sigma White Belt – which is a very serious-sounding way of saying I’m professionally obsessed with making processes work better.

The neuro-affirming specialism wasn’t a pivot or a rebrand. It grew out of years of noticing that a lot of the people I worked with best – the ones who got the most out of having proper admin support, and who I found most rewarding to work with – had brains that worked a bit differently. ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and everything in between. What they needed wasn’t just someone to handle tasks. They needed someone who understood that a chaotic inbox isn’t laziness, a missed deadline isn’t carelessness, and “just use a to-do list” is not, in fact, a helpful suggestion.

So I built my whole approach around that. Not as a special service for a particular type of client, but as the baseline for how I work with everyone.

Why neuro-affirming is the whole approach, not a bolt-on

Neuro-affirming support means building everything around how your brain actually works – not how a productivity system designed in 1987 thinks it should work. It means no judgement, no “have you tried just writing it down”, and no expectation that you’ll show up the same way every single week.

In practice, working with me looks like this:

  • No judgement about how you work, how your week went, or why that one email has been sitting in your drafts since October
  • Flexible async working – not everyone is at their best at 9am on a Monday (I know I’m certainly not!) and I don’t pretend otherwise
  • Task breakdown and prioritisation built in as standard, not an extra you have to ask for
  • Body-doubling and accountability check-ins available alongside your admin support
  • Communication adapted to your preferences – whether that’s a voice note, a bullet list, or a single sentence
  • Energy-aware scheduling – so your support actually fits around how your capacity works, not just when the calendar says

The official bit (don't worry, I'll keep it brief)

She's incredibly organised, reliable, and honestly just gets things done without me needing to chase or worry. What I really value is how trustworthy and non-judgemental she is - I can be honest when I'm struggling, and she chats it through with me and helps fix it. She's a calm, capable teammate by my side, and that support is invaluable.
